Dear Families,
What a wonderful week we’ve had at Pleasant View. The Winter Wonderland Shop was a huge success. Thank you to our AMAZING PTO for all their hard work in planning and running this event for our students .
Also, the Winter Music Concert was fantastic! A huge thank you to Mrs. Barrette, our custodians, maintenance, and our technology staff for making this event possible.
The finale for the week was The Lip Sync performance led by our fifth graders in addition to a sing along to close the day! Thank you Mr. Marino, Mrs. Barrette, and our fifth grade teachers.
Mrs. Dohoney and I are so privileged to be part of this positive school community. We wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday Season!
There is No School December 25th-January 1st. We look forward to seeing all students and staff back at school on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024!
EveryDay Speech
On Monday, I showed students a video that emphasizes Good Sportsmanship which is the fair and generous behavior or treatment of others, especially in a sports contest.
This supports kindness both at school and in the community. Students role played different ways to communicate when they lose at a game. They discussed how they feel when others are rude versus when they are kind.
Lastly, some students learned what the GOLDEN RULE means, which is to treat others the way that you want to be treated.
