#Engage,Energize,Educate
February 5th-February 9th
Dear PVE Families,
This week Pleasant View Elementary received their Special Olympics Banner Renewal. We were thrilled to have so many dignitaries here to celebrate this HUGE accomplishment. During the assembly, each grade level presented a key to unlock the puzzle with the end results of setting Sonny escape .
We appreciate everyone’s efforts in making Wednesday possible from our administrative assistants, custodians, maintenance crew, students, teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, the unified committee and Mrs. MJ. Mrs. Dohoney and I are so proud and privileged to be part of the PVE Community.
Morning Car Rider Drop Off
Starting on Monday, February 5th we will utilize the entire circle for car rider (morning) drop off, in order to accommodate more vehicles while ensuring the safe arrival of students onto the sidewalk. This will help to alleviate the back up on Pleasant View Ave.
Flu Clinic
Smithfield is hosting a community vaccination clinic at Gallagher Middle School on February 7th from 4:00-6:30 PM. Both flu and COVID vaccines will be offered. This FREE clinic is open to all. Please see the attached flyer for registration information.

Electronic Devices
We are aware that technology has become an integral part of education today. Without approval from school personnel, students may not bring any personal electronic devices and/or accessories to school. This includes, but is not limited to: cameras, game consoles, tablets, cellular phones, and smartwatches/wearables. If a student is found to have brought an electronic device to school without prior permission, the student will be directed to place the device in his/her backpack. After one reminder, the device will be placed in the Principal’s Office for the parent to retrieve. The school is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged devices.
