#Engage, Energize, & Educate
January 25th
Dear PVE Families,
Mrs. Dohoney and I would like to thank you for your cooperation in following the safety procedures for arrivals and dismissals. The safety of your children is our top priority.
If your child is a Car Rider in the morning, we need your support with having your child dropped off and in the building by 8:50 am.
In the coming week, you will have information on completing the annual SurveyWorks which is a family survey administered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. This survey tells us what we are doing well at Pleasant View and what areas we need to improve on.
Attendance Update
Thank you for your continued partnership with having your child in school when they are WELL. At this time last year, our chronic absenteeism rate was 9.4%. This year we are at 5%.
If your child has five or more unexcused tardies since the beginning of the year, we will be reaching out to you on how we can support your child on being on time for school. Research shows that children’s chronic absences and /or tardies have a drastic impact on their education and future career.
