#Engage, Energize,& Educate
June 4th
Good afternoon PVE families,
A special thanks goes out to Alycia Casazza and the PTO for organizing last week’s amazing Talent Show. Also, thank you to Sandy Barrette and Meghan Moretti for helping out at this four-star performance. Below are some photos from the evening.
Field Day
Our Field Day is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th which is going to be the warmest day of the week. There will be a Cooling Station available to all students. We do, however, recommend that your child comes to school with light weight clothing, their class t-shirt, sneakers, a hat, sun block, a water bottle, and a hat. The PTO will also have an outdoor water refill station. In addition to the fun Field Day activities, students will also enjoy a Martial Arts presentation and cool down with Kona Ice.
We can no longer accept any more volunteers.
Country Creamery
Please support our PTO by ordering ice cream on June 7th from 3:00-9:00 pm and 20% of your order comes back to PVES.

Attention Attendance Matters
The RI Department of Education is rolling out a new attendance policy, effective during the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Students who are considered chronically absent (10% of the school year or 16 days of school or more) may be retained. More information on this new policy can be found below.

Fifth graders are learning about navigating the new challenges that will be presented in middle school. They are also learning that middle school will present each of them with opportunities to make new friends. Middle school also provides many extra curricular opportunities for students to explore.
