#Engage, Energize,& Educate
November 21st, 2025
Dear Families,
This week, we are proud to celebrate Substitute Appreciation Week. Our substitutes play an essential role in keeping our school running smoothly, ensuring learning continues when teachers are out, and stepping into classrooms with flexibility, professionalism, and care. We are grateful for their commitment to supporting our students and staff each day.
This is a reminder that parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd. You should have received an email from your child’s teacher with instructions on how to sign up for a conference time. If you did not receive the sign-up information, please reach out to your child’s teacher and they will be happy to resend it.
Please note that there is No School for students on Wednesday, December 3rd to allow time for conferences.
Safety Patrol
We also want to take a moment to recognize the tremendous work of our 5th grade safety patrol. Each morning, these student leaders help maintain safety during arrival by guiding our kindergarteners to the playground and assisting younger students with confidence and kindness. Their service has made a noticeable difference in creating a safe, calm, and welcoming start to the school day
The Unified Committee Needs Your Help!
We are working in collaboration with our PTO to install a communication board on the Pleasant View Elementary playground so that all students can play, connect, and communicate with confidence. We are currently accepting donations to help make this inclusive addition a reality. https://unified-pandas.cheddarup.com/
Thank you for supporting our Unified community!

Feinstein Food Drive Runs November 13th-December 12th
Our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is now under way, and we are grateful for the generosity our community shows each year. All donations will directly support local families in need during the holiday season. If you are able, please consider sending in non-perishable items to help us make a meaningful difference for those who could use a little extra support.
Thank you for your kindness and for helping our students learn the value of giving back.

Culture Awareness
Starting this week, our Wednesday morning announcements will be dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and appreciation within our school community. Each week, we will highlight traditions, celebrations, and contributions from cultures around the world to help our students build understanding, respect, and curiosity for the diverse world they live in.
A Message from Nurse Mullins
Chartwells has received a grant to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to our students. As we start this endeavor, I would like to be 100% certain that I have information about all of the allergies in our school. If your child has allergies, please list any food that causes your child to have any allergic reaction, rashing, or itching in their mouth after eating. If your child can eat all fruits and vegetables, no need to fill out the form. Thank you so much! ~Nurse Mullins
Please complete this allergy form if you haven't.
Walking School Bus
Wednesday, November 26th is the last Walking School Bus until the spring. We appreciate Mr. Firth’s dedication to this endeavor.
