As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it’s hard to believe we are down to just 39 school days. This is an important time to reinforce consistent routines, including daily attendance when students are well enough to be in school.
Currently, we have 43 students who have missed 20 or more days of school—equivalent to about one month, or 8% of our student population. Frequent absences can significantly impact learning and access to important services such as IEP support, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech services.
We appreciate your partnership in helping your child attend school regularly. Our goal is to reduce the number of chronically absent students by 2% by the end of the school year. Together, we can finish the year strong!
