Dear Families,

A special thank you to Alycia Casazza, the PTO, and Sandy Barrette for organizing another outstanding Talent Show last night! With 70 acts taking the stage, our PVES Pandas showcased an incredible variety of talents, creativity, confidence, and hard work. We are so proud of all of our performers for sharing their gifts with our school community and grateful to everyone who helped make this memorable event such a success.

Another huge thank you to Alicia Marques Jordan, Pete Marino, Rayna Bearss, the PTO, parent volunteers, and our incredible staff for providing a fun-filled Field Day yesterday! Despite the hot temperatures, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories for our students. We are grateful for all the  planning and preparation that made the event such a success.

A special thank you to all of the staff members who participated in the PTO's "Tattoo a Staff Member" fundraiser. The event generated strong participation, lots of excitement, and plenty of fun for our staff  while supporting our school community. Thank you to our families for supporting this PTO fundraiser.

A Message From Premeer

We wanted to share some uplifting news about a selfless leader in our community making the positive change in the world that is much needed these days.

Her name is Alycia Casazza and she’s a dedicated volunteer and tremendously active leader of the Pleasant View Elementary PTO in Smithfield, RI and a huge asset to our overall community!

She was recently awarded the prestigious ‘Be the Good Award’ for her charitable heart and volunteerism to make her community a better place.

Much love and thanks for helping us spread some positive light into the world!

Caught Being Kind

The following students were caught being KIND this week:  Brody Bagger, Jack Harrison, Brayden Chapman, Michael Leon, Wesley Booher, Rosemary Donahue, Mabel Durand, and John Bishop.

5th graders:  A story shared by Grady's mom

I have an incredible 5th grade kindness story to share.

The 5th grade dance was held on Friday night.

Unfortunately, one student, Grady, was sick and could not go.

He was so upset to miss out until he heard a knock on his door a little after 8pm

A group of his friends had stopped by his house

on their way home from the dance

to check on Grady and to cheer him up

bringing a little bit of the dance to him.

The thoughtfulness and caring friendship shown by these 13 boys

is exactly what we hope that each of you learn during your time at Pleasant View.

Connor Ahern, Sam Begnoche, Seth Borden, Cam Ceprano, Nolan DiSciullo, Jake Fredricksen, Rylin Gibree, Jerry Jaing, Connor Montalbano, Logan Paolantonio, Miles Piescienski, Jameson Rich, and Eli Ware. THANK YOU!

Congratulations Mrs. Dohoney

Congratulations to Mrs. Dohoney!! The Feinstein Foundation recently informed us that her school grant proposal for our Kindness Club has been selected to receive one of their $1,000 Spring Grant awards!

A Special Note

As we prepare for our Moving Up Ceremonies next week, we encourage families to have students arrive "stage ready" and dressed neatly for these special occasions. Students may choose attire that is comfortable, appropriate, and reflects the significance of the event, as many families will be taking photographs to commemorate this milestone.

Please be mindful of safe footwear for the risers and the SHS stage.  We discourage students from wearing CROCS.
