Pleasant View's World Kindness Day was enjoyed by all. As a school community, we strive to remember that every day should be filled with kindness!
Thursday, Nov. 17 is a Professional Development day. There is no school for students.
Kindness Committee Update:
On Monday, 11/14/21, Pleasant View will celebrate World Kindness Day. Our theme is "Tied Together with Kindness". Adults and students are invited to wear a tie-dyed shirt, a shirt with a kindness message, or your Pleasant View shirt to show support for spreading kindness at school, home, and throughout our community.
We will also be kicking off our Feinstein Kindness Tree. Teachers will be provided with Kindness Leaves in their mailboxes. Teachers and/or students can write acts of kindness they witnessed throughout the day on these leaves. Please return the leaves to either Ms. Sampson or Mrs. King. The leaves will be displayed on our Feinstein Kindness Tree outside of the main office.

Thank you, SFD, for our wonderful Fire Safety Assemblies! They were both very informative and interactive. Students loved taking a class fire truck picture and their new backpacks! Pleasant View is very grateful for all that you do for us!
Pleasant View's adults and students enjoyed our Apple Crunch 2022 Day! We were proud to join schools across Rhode Island (and the country) in celebrating National Farm to School Month by crunching into a locally grown apple! Thank you Chartwells and Steere Orchard for supporting this very healthy and enjoyable lunch!
After brainstorming ways to be kind online, elementary students created messages of kindness in their maker center and learned how to "share with care" in their technology center during library class. Digital Citizenship Week 2022

Join us on October 25th at 7 PM for the FREE fall concert at SHS featuring the chorus, band, Sentinel Singers, and soloists. Our students have been hard at work developing exciting lighting changes for each number. At about an hour run time, it will be family friendly too!
The walking school bus arrived today @PVESSmithfield @SmithfieldSchls. Thank you families & @SmithfieldFIRE for walking with our elementary students today to school - a great fall day!
So many of our teachers, like Ms. Aceto, demonstrate each day how much they care for our students. Students in this 2nd grade class decide on the type of greeting they want each morning - high 5, "scary monster," hug. Creating strong classroom communities @SmithfieldSchls
