Pleasant View Elementary School

Due to weather conditions, there is a two-hour delay scheduled for today, January 16th. All buses will operate under a two-hour delay. If your child gets picked up for the bus for example at 8:20AM, today your child will be picked up at 10:20AM. All students attending the before school YMCA program, will need to drop their child off at the YMCA. The fifth grade field trip scheduled for today is cancelled. Students may be dropped off as early as 10:20AM . We look forward to welcoming your child/children at 10:50AM this morning.

The P.T.O. meeting scheduled on Tuesday, January 9th from 6:30-7:30pm has been cancelled.

We're are excited for the Panda Players to meet today from 3:30-4:45pm in the cafeteria!

Just a friendly reminder, that tomorrow there will be a Fifth Grade and Families Holiday Party in the cafeteria (door 2). The event is taking place from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Friday, December 15th. We look forward to seeing you there!

Parent Conferences are being held tomorrow, 12/13/23. There is NO SCHOOL tomorrow. Please be sure to check out are extensive collection of coats, sweatshirts, water bottles in our Lost & Found. Thank you.

The 5th grade float in the All Lit Up parade was fantastic! Thank you to all who joined and helped out- students, chaperones, families , & friends. Special thanks to Rob Lanzieri for leading the float sub-committee and overseeing the project. Your time and effort in organizing are very much appreciated! We couldn't have done it without you. Mrs. Viera & I had so much fun participating ​in the parade and seeing so many PVE families & friends along the route! Congratulations to Lucas Paolantonio for being selected to represent our school as one of 3 Illuminators. Lucas helped light the town's tree in the Village Green!

Join Mrs. Viera and Mrs. Dohoney in the All Lit Up parade on Saturday 12/2! We will be leading the Pleasant View student walkers . Any student wishing to walk with us MUST  be accompanied by an adult. We will meet at Smithfield High School at 4:00. The parade begins at 4:30 and ends at the Village Green for the lighting of the town's holiday tree.

The SHS Music Department has its first concert of the year on Thursday, Oct. 26th, at 7 pm. The band, chorus, Sentinel Singers, Garageband, and soloists will perform. All are invited! It will be a FREE, fun, Halloween-themed concert lasting no more than one hour.
